Konark Festival postponed

19th Konark Dance Festival, which was scheduled to start on December1, 2008 will commence on December 4, 2008. The announcement has been made following the declaration of national morning on account of former Prime Minister, V.P. Singh's demise.

Konark Festival is one of the greatest classical events in India. This five day fest draws visitors from India as well as abroad. Held at the backdrop of magnificent Sun temple of Konark, the festival the age old classical legacy of India. This year six forms of Indian classical dance – Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Manipuri, Mohaniattam and Odissi will be the highlights of the event.
