Airlines not to decide Minimum Airfare:

Airlines not to decide Minimum Airfare

Chairman of Competition Commission of India, Vinod Dhall, has stated that the aviation industry cannot decide on the minimum airfare of any airlines. The higher official of the regulatory body under union commerce ministry said that the airlines can deal with issues regarding hike in price of aviation fuel but cannot decide the minimum airfare as it could affect the interest of the passengers. The aviation industry reacted strongly to Mr. Dhall's statement and held the big oil companies for increasing the price of aviation fuel.
