Premier German airlines Lufthansa announced the launch of three new non-stop flights between Mumbai and Munich starting 10th May, 2008:
Lufthansa is all set to become the first and sole airline plying between Mumbai and Munich with as many as three weekly flights. Airbus A340-300 is scheduled to be deployed on this route.
From June 3 Lufthansa is also set to boost up its current services between Kolkata and Frankfurt from three to five flights a week. It will also introduce new 'regular interval' flights between Pune and Frankfurt July 1, 2008. The new six weekly flights will be managed by an Airbus A319, offering 48 seats in an all-business class configuration.
